Ingredients
• 1 litre full cream milk
• 2 cup seedless, chopped dates
• ½ cup powdered sugar
• 1 tablespoon ghee
• ½ cup grated coconut
• ½ cup chopped nuts (any kind)
• ½ teaspoon elachi powder
Directions:
Place milk in a pan and put it on the stove. Stir and wait till it comes to a boil. Meanwhile, roast the chopped nuts using the ghee. Put dates in the milk and bring the milk to boil again. Once dates are cooked, lower the heat and cook till it forms into a mixture and gets thick.
When the mixture looks blended, add powdered sugar, grated coconut, and roasted nuts. Keep cooking on a lower heat till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
Lastly, add the elachi, mix it well. Grease the surface of a tray using some ghee and spread the mixture in a thin layer on the tray. Leave to set. When Halwa is cool and set, cut into desired slices and serve.
